The presenter draws from several of the state’s leaders in the medical, gerontology, and psychology fields in addressing the needs and challenges in senior service delivery. Training will include -how to advocate, -relationships with community supports, including SNFs, -proper assessment and identification of aging seniors needs, -and other angles and procedures.

Understanding Quality of Care (with an emphasis on inclusion)
The challenges and rigors of service delivery do not allow service providers the opportunity to maintain a current education and understanding in the diverse field of disabilities. This training includes the history of disabilities, understanding ‘other’ disabilities that directly affect the individuals we serve, appropriate interaction skills and etiquette, the perspective of self-advocates, pertinent legislation and regulations, current initiatives in inclusion, and current trends and topics. Attendees will have access to a wide array of resources, most of which they can walk away with. The presenter also maintains himself as a resource for life for anyone in the audience.
