Ken Ton Chamber of Commerce and Disability Awareness Training Team up for a very special and necessary presentation

The Ken Ton Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the State Education Department to bring its members a training that will introduce them to a potent, determined, dedicated workforce that many employers may have never considered. Introduced at the Chamber luncheon on October 24, Dave Whalen, through a grant from the State Education Department, will be training all members on Wednesday, November 12th from 9am-noon at the Chamber’s Board room. Areas to be discussed include workplace accommodations, history of disabilities in the workforce, Americans with Disabilities Act, defining disabilities, etiquette and interaction skills, and support services for the employer.
